Originating from Belgrade, Serbia, comes the award winning guitar family of Trio Balkan Strings (SOKOJ). Perforrming original instrumental music, their music is a fusion of many Balkan elements: Serbian, Gypsy, Macedonian, Romanian, Moldavian, Bulgarian, Mediterranean, Greek, Turkish, and Oriental........ including Jazz improvisations and Classical elements. The result is rich and unconventional, fresh and spontaneous, and brimming with energy. Trio Balkan Strings have performed in many Jazz, Classical Guitar, and World Music festivals throughout the world and have given master-class clinics and concerts for classical and jazz guitar students in Europe and the USA.
Trio Balkan Strings were the First Prize Winner "Best Instrumental Enemble" at Music World 2004 in Fivizanno, Italy and Water-mill was winner of the 2005 USA Song Writing Composition in the World Music Category.
